The GasViaGassled online services support the contract process of entering into short-, medium-, and long-term gas transportation contracts for gas pipeline system at the Norwegian Continental Shelf.

GasViaGassled Version 1.0 was launched January 2003 and comprised the functionality for the Shippers to
book transport capacity in the Primary Market, manage booked capacity as well as plan future need based on available capacity at each booking point. It also provides electronic contract storage and easy access to stored contracts and booking requests that are under processing.

In April 2003, version 2.0 introduced a common Marketplace which allows the Shipper to buy and sell already booked capacity (Secondary Market), and to enter and sign bilateral agreements was introduced

Autumn 2005 version 3.0 was launched. This version contained functionality for offering several capacity products together in a package.

In version 4.0, released December 2006, security solution was changed from software certificates to smart cards.

The system has been upgrades several times, with improvements in functionality. All booking of capacity in Gassled is now done electronically through the system.
